Arachidonic Acid: For Muscle Growth and Weight Loss

When we work out, we do so for many reasons. Some of it is because you want to look more physically attractive. This boosts your confidence, which then boosts your psyche, which then boosts your social life. Some of you train to become stronger, to perform better at your chosen sport. Overall, working out improves your quality of life, but you sometimes ask: What would help you get better results? There are the common drugs like steroids that many people go with. Though steroids are effective, they affect you in such an unnatural way that some people reasonably shy away from. SARMs offer a safer alternative to steroids, but they are usually not allowed for those who participate in official or professional sporting events. For some people, going about the natural way is the best: A healthy diet, a good program and plenty of proteins and carbs (depending on what you’re doing).   But what if there was a middle ground? A way for you to effectively improve your effort-to-gain ratio, whilst still going natural? The answer lies with Arachidonic Acid.   What is Arachidonic Acid? It's part of the omega fatty acids that are so beneficial for the body. One such omega fatty acid is omega 3, which is great for the heart and found abundantly in pineapples. Arachidonic acid is an Omega-6 unsaturated fatty acid, one that helps control your body's inflammation and is an essential substance for your brain and liver. Your body naturally makes this acid when you eat certain food. Food such as vegetable oil, sesame, sunflower, and canola oil all contain linoleic acid, which the body can convert into arachidonic acid.   How Does Arachidonic Acid Help in Bodybuilding? It revolves around inflammation. Everyone who works out, especially after their first time working out in a long time (or ever), tend to experience intense muscular pain. This is perfectly normal and it’s your body’s way of telling you that there’s damage, and it would be nice if you didn’t move the damaged area. This is because of inflammation during the body’s healing process. What do most people do when they have inflamed, painful muscles? Take non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. You may know them as ibuprofen and naproxen. Here lies the problem. The body actually needs inflammation to speed up repairs. An inflammatory reaction swells the blood vessels and allows more blood to circulate around the area. More blood means more materials can be absorbed to help with the repair. Taking these supplements can even make your muscles trigger muscular repair without damage. Taking in arachidonic acid supplements help improve acute inflammation, allowing the body to make more effective and efficient repairs. This leads not just to bigger muscles, but stronger lean muscles. Think of it as Arachidonic Acids helping your body adapt much faster and allowing more room for improvement.   Benefits of Arachidonic Acid

  • It’s completely legal in sports. It’s considered a supplement no different than a multivitamin.
  • It gives you an extra edge in your training that you couldn’t have gotten using natural means. You get an average of 10% improved muscle thickness and strength (According to various clinical studies).
  • Provided you don’t go crazy with the stuff, there’s no side effects from taking it. There are people who use it regularly for long periods and have not suffered anything directly from it.
  • It can affect the blood sugar and metabolism indirectly. Improvements to your metabolism will lead to weight loss, which makes it the perfect supplement for cutting.
Arachidonic acid may not provide the same raw, efficiency that SARMs and steroids can provide, but it is something anyone can take. It's a perfect middle-ground for people who want an edge in their training and for those who don't want to alter their body's hormonal levels. If you don't want to take Arachidonic Acid pills, there's plenty of food out there where you can naturally gain arachidonic acid, (though not as much or easy as taking a tablet).

The Right SARMs For the Right Athlete

When we train and work out, we often wonder how we can get better results, faster. One way to get better results is through the use of boosting supplements like SARMs. The fitness enhancer that helps get away from steroids, they give similar results without the nasty side-effects. There are a plethora of SARMs out in the market, all with their own edge. With these different kinds out there, though, it can be difficult to find what’s best for you. Certain sports require specific training, so which SARMs are best for you and the sport you’re trying to dominate?

Quick Intro: What are SARMs?

For those who've just heard of them, here's a summary. SARMs is short for Selective Androgen Receptor Modulators. They have effects similar to steroids, which boosts muscle growth, bone density and helps lose fat. SARMs have minimal to no side effects because of their selective nature. It only affects muscles and bones, sometimes other cells depending on the type. Steroids, on the other hand, cause side effects because they affect everything in their path.   Before you take SARMs, regardless of what you’re taking it for, you have to remember a few tips.
  • Check with your physician before taking SARMs. People with preexisting conditions or hormone abnormalities may experience complications when using SARMs
  • Develop a plan. SARMs are best used in 3-4 week cycles with increasing dosage. Consult an expert if you don’t know how to make one.
  • Keep to the minimum dose. Seasoned users may opt for higher doses, but always be careful. SARMs have minimal to zero side effects but too much of anything is always bad.
  • Some SARMs suppress testosterone development during usage. Other people recommend using a "Post Cycle Treatment" after using the drug to make sure you don't permanently alter your hormonal levels.

Types of SARMs and When Best To Use Them

Not all SARMs are fit for bulking muscle. Some are better for slimming, maintaining muscles or increasing your overall energy output. Here is the list of popular SARMs and when it’s best to use them. They have several names, but the formulation is named by a code such as MK 2866 or LGD 4033.

SARMs that are Best For Bulking

In sports where you need raw strength and body mass like football, rugby, and wrestling, you’ll want to opt for raw strength and bulk.
  • MK 2866 - Ostarine
One of the first SARMs to hit the market and is still considered to be one of the most dependable. Used to boost lean muscle groups and bone mass. MK 2866’s common cycle use is 4-6 weeks with a minimum dosage of 25mg. Some people report having blurry vision during product use, but they also reported that it went away a week so after using the product. Other users also reported water retention, resulting in slightly flabby skin. This retention is avoided by using half the dosage on the first week of the cycle then on to regular amounts.
  • S4 - Andarine
With an anabolic ratio of 10:1, this product gives you some incredible muscle gaining and sustaining effects with minimal side-effects (ten times less than steroids in equal doses, in fact). Andarine also has a minor fat-burning effect depending on your work-out. The recommended minimum dosage is 50 mg with a 12-week cycle. Other dosage cycles may vary but let this serve as the minimum. Originally, Andarine is better for muscle maintenance when doing weight loss training, but it has great potential for muscle growth
  • LGD 4033 - Ligandrol
Stronger than Ostarine in equal doses and known to be one of the best SARMs for bulking. Ligandrol is so potent that the minimal dosage to see results is only 3 mg. The drug is formulated to have nearly no side effects unless you're suffering from below average testosterone levels. The minimum recommended cycle is 6-8 weeks. Some users report that some of their bulk is lost right after stopping use due to loss of water retention and stored glycogen.
  • MK 677 - Ibutamoren
One thing different about MK 677 is that it's technically not a SARM. It does not replicate the effects of testosterone, instead, it promotes the release of growth hormones. It causes an effective increase in muscle mass, bone mineral density, appetite, and blood sugar regulation. It also has the added effect of reversing some aging effects. The recommended minimum dosage is 20mg per day with a minimum cycle length of 6-8 weeks. Some people report having deeper sleep and a little numbness as a side effect. The former is also coupled with intense dreams, fortunately not nightmares.
  • RAD 140 - Testolone
Known to have incredibly high anabolic or muscle gaining effects and extremely low androgenic effects. RAD 140’s effect is so potent that it's undergoing clinical trials for medical uses. Testolone has massive muscle building effects. According to some users, it either outperforms Ligandrol or is in the same league. The recommended minimum dosage is 20-30 milligrams with a minimum cycle of 6 weeks. People with relatively low testosterone due to trauma or a condition beware. Testolone also has testosterone suppression effects that could potentially set your hormones so low that it could cause complications. Other than that, users haven’t reported any major side-effects.   SARMs Best Used for Cutting With some athletes, building strong big muscles will be detrimental. Sports like basketball, soccer, running, tennis, badminton and rock climbing need you to be lightweight, have high endurance and have respectable muscle strength. Some of the SARMs that are recommended for bulking can also be used during the cutting phase due to their muscle maintaining properties.
  • GW 501516 - Cardarine
Marketed to be the best endurance enhancer in the market. It's known to stimulate the body and make it act as if it's in "Starvation mode." It doesn't mean it's going to reserve everything it can as if it's starving, instead, it will use fats without limit before carbs. It’s effectiveness has led to clinical trials being performed on obesity patients. The boost of energy also makes it possible to work out longer and develop stronger, lean muscles. The recommended dosage is 5-10 mg per day with a minimum cycle of 2-4 weeks. Its side effects are only concerning if you have existing risks for liver diseases. Alcoholics and people with genetic conditions should take caution when using Cardarine.
  • SR9009 - Stenabolic
Another type of SARMs that help boost energy consumption. SR9009 works by stimulating cell mitochondria. It increases lipid and glucose metabolism, helping you burn more fuel per “unit” of activity. It even affects your idle metabolism, meaning you could potentially lose weight while standing still. The minimum dosage is 10 mg, which can be taken up to 20 mg. The minimum cycle recommended is 6 weeks, which can be taken to 8. One key tip is that Stenabolic has a short shelf life, meaning the effects vanish quite quickly. This is mitigated by separating the dosage to 2-3 portions over the day. There are no documented side-effects yet apart from the expected ones like increased appetite and deeper sleep.
  • S4 - Andarine
Even if this was recommended for bulking, it has excellent muscle retaining and fat loss properties. It also increases bone density, perfect for people doing high impact activities like most fighting sports.
  • MK 677 - Ibutamoren
Since it stimulates energy consumption, MK 677 can also be used to melt the fats away. The growth hormone increase will promote muscular strength. Depending on the training, it can help minimize muscular size growth while still increasing strength.   Final Words SARMs are made to take full advantage of our body’s reaction to hormones. Note that some of them are banned in national sports and competitions, so before taking them, it’s best to do your homework. Take them in moderation and always be patient. Sometimes the effects are not seen until the second or third week. Finally, eat and sleep well. Muscles are great but if your body’s nutrition is diminished, you’ll lose all your hard work and more. When you're ready to order your SARMs, make sure they're real like the ones we offer here.

What SARMs Should I be Taking?

It's incredibly motivating when you see positive gains when you work out. After tiring and aching day after day, it's nice to look in the mirror and see yourself getting into shape. For those who want an extra edge, or to gain more over a shorter period, there are steroids. The problem is, steroids have a bunch of side effects. The effects could be unaesthetic, such as male pattern baldness and acne. It can also cause some serious health issues like liver, kidney and hormonal imbalances, some of which are difficult to reverse. Enter SARMs. The Selective Androgen Receptor Modulator acts like steroids. It gives similar or the same positive effects with little to no side effects. Sounds too good to be true? Maybe. SARMs only affect certain parts of the body (the ones that count, like muscles and bones), which is why they have fewer side-effects.

The Type Depends on What You’re Doing to Your Body

There are multiple reasons why people work out. Either you’re training for something like a sport or a hobby such as skiing or mountain climbing.  You could be working out to primarily lose weight. You could also be working out because you want to get ripped. If you want to get ripped, you’ll usually do two things: Bulking up and Cutting.
  • Bulking Up
As the term says, your goal is to gain as much muscle mass as possible. This means pumping iron with increasing weights and eating many nutritional proteins and fats. For beginners, this is the phase where they will learn how to specifically manage their muscles.
  • Cutting
The fat-loss portion of getting ripped. This means moderate weight lifting with strict diet and exercises meant to reduce fat. This can also be considered as weight-loss training but there are other exercise programs dedicated to losing fat

Before Using SARMs

Make sure you're healthy. SARMs may not have the same side effects as steroids, but people with increased risk for liver, kidney and pancreas disease should take care when using them. Since SARMs manipulate hormones to some degree, it would be best to have your doctor screen your hormonal levels to further ensure you won't get any complications.

Types of SARMs and How to Best Use Them

There are many types of SARMs and combinations (like the Gold Stack) currently available in the market. New ones are coming out by the year and some are getting better formulations. For now, we’ll cover the popular ones and when they are best used along with any notable side effects. Note that all SARMs are taken orally, either in pill or liquid form.

LGD 4033

Also known as Ligandrol, LGD 4033 is a potent SARM. It has positive effects on muscular growth and overall vitality factors like bones, blood, and energy. It comes in pill form.
  • Best For:
The bulking phase of your program. Clinical trials on LGD showed ample muscle growth to people who took 1mg of it, without exercise. Users review that it is effective when building muscle up and it increases appetite.
  • Side Effects
LGD is known for its suppressive effects on testosterone production. It should not harm a healthy person, but people with hormonal issues best be careful. For maximum safety, it’s best to take hormonal supplements after your bulking cycle. (AKA post cycle therapy)

Ostarine MK 2866

Perhaps the most popular SARM around, Ostarine MK 2866 is also one of the earliest SARMs to be marketed. Its dosage is more than LGD and it comes in pill form.
  • Best For
Cutting. Ostarine's effect is more into muscle preservation. This is good when you want to keep your muscles while cutting the calories or during rest periods.
  • Side Effects
Like LGD, MK 2866 can suppress testosterone production. The effects usually wear off when you’re done using it, but use a PCT for best results.

RAD 140

A new contender in the market and a potent one for that. It’s boasting to be the most potent among all types of SARMs. What makes it potent is that it has no reported long-term side effects that could potentially damage you.
  • Best For
Bulking. RAD promises to give the same, if not greater, muscle growth potential as anabolic steroids. According to medical tests at least, its results were much greater.
  • Side Effects
Though it's marketed with virtually zero side effects, users report minor headaches and sleeplessness. So far there are no severe side effects on healthy people and a low dose is recommended for starters.

SARMs: Are they Safe?

SARM stands for Selective Androgen Receptor Modulators. As the name states, They work by modulating certain androgen receptors in our bodies. They’re often thought of as the upgrade to steroids when it comes to enhancing performance, but are they safe?

The Short Answer:

Yes. But that answer alone shouldn’t be sufficient. Relatively speaking, SARMs are safer than steroids. Steroids have amazing effects on muscles and bones but they also affect every other cell that recognizes them. SARMs are formulated to only affect certain cells, minimizing the side-effects. This means they still have side effects, some of which could be debilitating under certain conditions.

Why Steroids and SARMs Have Side Effects

To understand why SARMs still have side-effects, you have to know why Steroids have them. Nearly all our cells have receptors on them. Think of these receptors as mailboxes that only accept a certain kind of mail. The mail that's often sent to them are your hormones. Each hormone has an effect on a particular cell, making them act in specific ways. One common hormone that affects all humans is growth hormone, controlled by the pituitary gland. This hormone is the reason why we grow from infants to kids and onwards. Our cells receive these hormones at very specific times, in very specific conditions. One other set of hormones are the gonadal hormones, commonly known as testosterone and estrogen. We get a flux of them when we hit puberty age, allowing us to develop our gender-specific traits. Our body controls these hormones in such a fine balance that interrupting them would cause a near domino-like effect. Steroids are essentially chemicals that mimic testosterone. When they are introduced into the body, the body thinks it had a spike of testosterone, making muscle cells gather more proteins, make bone cells gather more calcium and so on. If only it stopped at muscles and bones steroids would be fine. Instead, it affects the user’s arteries, heart, liver, kidneys, skin, eyes and even their gonads. What's worse is that steroids have the tendency to be abused. Higher doses over a long period of time cause an extreme imbalance to your body's hormonal levels. Steroids cause problems such as:
  • Infertility
  • Impotency and Erectile Dysfunction
  • Testicular Shrinkage
  • Male-pattern baldness (even in women)
  • Excessive body hair growth
  • Severe Acne
  • Increased potential for tendon rupture
  • Decreased potential for height (If taken by adolescents)
There are also severe effects such as:
  • Liver damage leading to failure
  • Increased risk for infection
  • Psychological effects like mania and “roid rage”
These effects are through steroid use, caused by the way steroids work. SARMs can also cause these symptoms, but only potentially speaking.

SARM Side Effects

There's a value used by people to judge how beneficial a type of steroid is compared to its potential negative effects. Known as the "Anabolic to Androgenic Ratio," this ratio determines how much muscular growth you'll get relative to the androgenic effects that cause the side-effects listed above. Commonly, steroids have a 1:1 ratio, meaning an equal potential for gain with an equal potential for side-effects. Advances in the formulation have made some steroids have ratios as good as 5:1, meaning it has 5 units more of potential for the same dosage. SARMs take it to the next level. Certain SARMs have a 10:1 ratio, even soaring to 20:1 all towards a blistering 90:1. Regardless of how you raise it, there’s still that 1 unit of potential negative effects. Take more than the recommended dosage over a long enough duration and you’re likely to suffer some kind of consequence. A good portion of SARMs suppresses testosterone production. This means people with existing hormonal issues like low testosterone have increased risks of side-effects and complications. This all being said and before taking anything that alters your body, make sure you do your homework. SARMs can push the boundaries of physical development so it’s your responsibility to keep yourself safe.

What you need to know about SARMs

An Introduction to SARMs SARMs stands for Selective Androgen Receptor Modulators. Still, knowing what the acronym stands for doesn’t quite explain everything they do. So what does it mean? The first thing to know about SARMs is that they are primarily used as supplements for building muscle. You might be more familiar with Steroids. SARMs act similarly to steroids but have key differences that make them safer and easier to use.   How Steroids Work Steroids work by increasing the protein production in our cells. Protein helps build muscles. This makes steroids effective for bodybuilding. Steroids also promote appetite, stimulates growth and increase testosterone levels. In fact, it’s that boosted testosterone that helps deliver the increase in protein delivered to the muscles. Steroids do this by affecting our cells to trigger a natural function. While our cells produce proteins even without steroids, steroids give them a push to work on overdrive. However, steroids also have a ton of unwanted effects. These effects may include an increase in blood pressure, insomnia, hormonal imbalance, and addiction. The addictive side effect of steroids is why it is considered a Schedule III drug under the Controlled Substances Act. Long-term use of steroids may even result in irreversible health damage.   How SARMs Work SARMs work like steroids with some important differences. Steroids affect any kind of cell that it can attach itself to. SARMs, on the other hand, work by attaching only to muscle and bone cells. This is why they’re called "Selective Androgen Receptor Modulators." They only affects selected cells to relay instructions. To put it simply, steroids affect anything it can reach. This can overload any cells that it can get its hands on, forcing them to produce more proteins. SARMs, however, chooses which cells are meant to produce proteins for muscle and bodybuilding. The cells do what they are meant to do, thus preventing imbalance in the body. SARMs also leave little to no trace of their presence after their work is done, unlike steroids. However, SARMs, much like other drugs, will bring side effects if abused.   What are the Effects of SARMs? While SARMs don’t have an official medical use, they have other benefits beyond muscle growth. Researchers continue to study the effects of SARMs to uncover their potential. The following are benefits that bodybuilders can gain from SARMs:

  • Reduced muscle loss
  • Improved strength
  • Faster recovery from joint pains and injuries
In addition to these benefits, here are effects of SARMs in comparison to steroids:
  • No Bone Loss
  • Avoids Prostate Issues
  • Avoids Hormonal Imbalance
  • Does not contain Estrogen
  • No Liver Damage
How Safe are SARMs? In moderation, SARMs are safe. It's highly advisable to consult your doctor about SARMs and follow the dosage as your doctor recommends. Given that the effects of SARMs are more gradual than steroids, it's best to stick with the recommended dosage to prevent any unwanted effects. SARMs are also legal. You can purchase them as oral supplements. However, SARMs are still a performance-enhancing drug, therefore it is not permitted to use in professional sports. For competitions and sports, hard work is still the best way to go.   What SARMs are in the market? With the increasing demand, there are plenty of types to choose from. What’s important to keep in mind is their formulations. Here are the different types of SARMs that you can choose from:   LGD 4033 This formula is one of the most potent per dosage. On average, it nearly has 12 times the potency than other SARMs in lower dosages. This formula is recommended for cutting cycles to avoid muscle loss. It comes with a side effect, however. This formula may affect the HPTA hormones or the Hypothalamus-Pituitary-Testes-Axis. In this case, it's advisable to use this formula in moderation and pair it with a SERM or Selective Estrogen Receptor Modulator.   MK 677 This formula is otherwise known as Ibutamoren. This formula stimulates appetite, energy and growth hormones. Its effects can be noticeable within 3 to 6 weeks of continuous moderate doses. The increased growth hormone may also induce deep sleep and slight tingling of the hands. It’s best to take this formula by increasing the dosage every month and stopping after the third month.   RAD 140 This formula is fairly new in the market. It has an anabolic to androgenic ratio of 90:1. This ratio suggests that for every 90 units of muscle building will only have 1 unit of potential side effect. This promises efficiency with fewer possible side effects. Before taking in SARMs, remember to consult your doctor first. Follow the dosage as instructed by your doctor for better results and to minimize the chance of side effects.

LGD 4033: All You Need to Know

Steroids are already known to boost your muscle growth and strength. In fact, they’re so effective that they were banned from any official sport because of the extreme advantage they offer users over those who don’t take them. The real problem with steroids is that they come packed with all sorts of unwanted side effects. To avoid these side effects, people have to either take a dose so small it doesn’t offer any benefit or combine their doses with a fistful of supplements. Sometimes though, even the most meticulous steroid user still get terrible side effects, often permanently. Then came SARMs, short for Selective Androgen Receptor Modulators. These drugs are similar to steroids except for one thing: they don’t have the same profound side effects. SARMs work by only attaching to specific cells like those that make up your muscles and bones, while they leave other parts untouched. Their formulation allows people to get their sweet, sweet gains without the bitter side-effects. One such SARM formulation that’s popular right now is LGD-4033. A few years ago, SARMs were strictly experimental drugs so they didn’t have proper pharmaceutical names yet, but now the product is more known by its generic name: Ligandrol   What is LGD-4033 aka Ligandrol The formulation is a non-steroidal compound that attaches to a cell’s androgen receptors. When the compound attaches, the cells recognize it as testosterone and act accordingly, usually by gathering protein or calcium, depending on what the modulator tells it to do. For the most part, SARMs attach to muscle tissue and leaves everything else virtually untouched. The drug was aptly named by the company that discovered it, Ligand Pharmaceuticals and is currently being manufactured by Viking Therapeutics. It was first tested on monkeys and it showed positive growth in all subjects, though there was a bit of a snag when they ran into a toxicity problem. Eventually, the dose was adjusted and was tested on willing people, some of whom were recovering from injuries. The test concluded with flying colors as people recovered faster, gained more mass and suffered very little or no side-effects. Presently, Ligandrol is among the most potent SARMs on the market due to its high anabolic effects (muscle building) compared to its androgenic effects (potentially bad effects to the body’s hormonal balance). Current users report gains of up to 1.5lbs a week when using Ligandrol. This is with adequate training and a diet with enough protein and carbohydrates to sustain the growth. This effect is quite close to that of steroids, but with significantly fewer or zero negative issues.   Guide to Using LGD 4033 Ligandrol normally comes in a liquid form. Depending on your weight and fitness goals, the minimum dose should be 3mg whilst the maximum should only be at 15mg. Any more than that could actually lead to unwanted side-effects. Cycles should be no longer than 12 weeks, then stop the product for another 12 weeks before starting again. Ligandrol is best used during the bulking phase. Its effect is designed to grow muscle and the gains are relatively close to steroids. It could arguably be less, but the lack of side-effects more than makes up for any extra time needed to reach your intended levels. LGD 4033 is not recommended to be used in the cutting phase as it doesn't have a noticeable effects on fat loss.   Benefits of LGD 4033 Outside of Muscle Building This formulation offers more than just gains. There are various clinical trials already set for its medicinal uses. Due to the lack of side-effects, researchers believe LGD 4033 could be used in therapy.

  • Prevents Wasting Syndrome or Cachexia
Cachexia occurs commonly in cancer patients. Basically, the body receives constant stress over a long period and it starts to weaken everywhere. Muscles begin to deteriorate and bones become brittle, all while the body concentrates on keeping itself alive. LGD promotes muscular growth and maintains it, which helps fight off or prevent wasting syndrome.
  • Used to combat erectile dysfunction and low libido
LGD has the indirect effect of increasing testosterone levels. Higher testosterone in individuals helps the body in a number of ways, especially when it comes to getting it ready for intercouse. LGD 4033 offers performance when it’s needed the most.
  • Used as a way to treat osteoporosis
LGD promotes bone mass density, potentially stopping and curing osteoporosis. It also strengthens the back muscles, allowing full support of the spine during the recovery phase. LGD is marketed to have virtually zero side effects with nearly all the effects of steroids. Still, like any supplement or medicine, always remember to use it in moderation.

What do SARMs Actually do?

[et_pb_section bb_built="1" admin_label="section"][et_pb_row admin_label="row"][et_pb_column type="4_4"][et_pb_text admin_label="Text"] You've already heard about performance-enhancing drugs and how they’re the sort of drugs used to improve physical development by promoting muscular growth, bone density and improve fat loss. You may know them as steroids, anabolic steroids or testosterone. Those three drugs offer similar benefits and side effects and are usually taken to increase strength and make working out more effective. When they are injected into the body, they attach to things called "androgen receptors" in cells. Nearly all our cells have this, whether they are from our muscles, bones, skin, eyes or any other part of our bodies. When the receptors detect testosterone, or any other substances that "look" like androgens, they will respond accordingly. The responses can vary and include tasks like  gathering more protein, increasing bone density or promoting cell division among other actions. The problem with steroids is that its side effects are caused by this very effect. When someone injects themselves with steroids, everywhere the steroid goes, it activates. This causes acne, male pattern baldness, virilization and more, which is why you’ll often see videos like the following online: So, where do SARMs fall into this?   Selective Androgen Receptor Modulator One great advantage SARMs have is that they virtually offer the same benefits as steroids and other performance enhancing drugs, but without or with minor side effects. While SARMs work in a similar fashion as steroids, let's go by the name SARM  to understand their exact nature.

  • Selective (S)
SARMs only affect certain types of cells. Commonly they only affect muscle and bone cells. Other cell's receptors are not affected by this, thus won’t react. This is the main reason why SARMs don't have the same side-effect as steroids. While steroids raise muscle growth and bone density, other cells like your skin, liver, and kidneys are also exposed to it. This is why one of the common side-effects of steroids is acne because the skin reacting to the testosterone surges.
  • Androgen Receptor
As said before, each cell has receptors. These receptors are like little receivers that accept certain chemicals and compounds. When something attaches to the right receptor, the cells act in a certain way. It could produce a certain chemical, increase activity, or gather a certain compound. Nearly every cell in the body has androgen receptors.
  • Modulator
The chemicals commonly make the cells behave as if testosterone attached to them, but certain types of SARMs stimulate specific cells to do certain tasks like create growth hormones or make the cells expend more energy.   Are SARMs As Good As Steroids? The answer is up for debate. The general answer to this is that the effects are just about the same. Some people would argue that steroids still produce faster effects, yet some say that the overall effect is the same. A steroid’s potency is often calculated in “Androgen to Anabolic Ratio.” Consider Anabolic as the unit of measurement that represents how much positive muscular effect you’ll have. The Androgen is the amount of androgen “units” that the drug has, which can potentially cause side effects. Commonly, steroids have a 1:1 Anabolic to Androgen ratio, which means you’ll get equal potential gains and side-effects. Other brands have ratios such as 90:37, or as simple as 3:1. There's still debate whether SARMs' potency can be measured using the ratio, but certain SARM formulations are marketed to have a blistering 90:1 ratio. That's 90 points of gains for every 1 point of potential side effects. The effect will still vary on the individual, but one thing assured is that SARMs don't cause nearly as many side effects as steroids.   Do SARMs Have Any Side Effects? Short answer: Yes. Long answer: Normally, there's none, especially if the individual is healthy and dosage is kept on the lower end. There are some factors that may produce side effects.
  • Overdosage
Some users take a bit more because they aren’t getting the expected results. This is the same as taking medicine for your headache. One tablet or two is fine, but more can cause negative effects. Best advice is to take it only for a month, then stop for at least a month.
  • Preexisting Conditions
Before taking SARMs or Steroids, it's best to see a physician. Men with lower than normal testosterone often suffer serious side-effects when taking steroids or SARMs. Others also have genetic risks for diseases like diabetes. Some SARMs cause small side effects like night blindness or tingling of the fingers. That's normal and are all reported to go away either halfway through the dosage, or shortly after stopping the dosage. Always remember, it's your body, so do your homework before doing anything to it.   [/et_pb_text][et_pb_button admin_label="Buy SARMs Now" _builder_version="3.0.51" button_text="Buy SARMs Now" button_url="https://olympiclabz.com/shop/" url_new_window="on" button_alignment="left" background_layout="light" custom_button="on" button_text_color="#e02b20" button_letter_spacing="0" button_icon_placement="right" button_on_hover="off" button_text_color_hover="#68d800" button_letter_spacing_hover="0" saved_tabs="all" /][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][/et_pb_section]

Build Muscle with These Steroid Replacements

[et_pb_section bb_built="1" admin_label="section"][et_pb_row admin_label="row"][et_pb_column type="4_4"][et_pb_text admin_label="Text"] Gym goers and bodybuilding enthusiasts around the world will agree that once you start working out, you have to finish what you started. Like doing your reps; you can't just stop midway unless you’re pumping to failure. Our progress, however, is limited by our own body's hormonal activity. We may do all manner of methods to gain the natural way, but there's a possibility of getting more out of our effort. This is where steroids come into play. Our muscular development is controlled by the amount of testosterone in our bodies. That being said, steroids come as either synthetic testosterone or compounds that mimic the effects of testosterone. Higher testosterone means bigger muscles, stronger bones, and less fat. The problem is that steroids have side effects that leave as much of an impact as their benefits, putting an element of risk in using them. Then came SARMs, which are an alternative to steroids that produces similar effects, but with fewer side effects.   What are SARMs? SARMs is short for Selective Androgen Receptor Modulators. Steroids affect all cells that have testosterone or androgen receptors no matter the cells’ functions, which in turn causes unwanted side effects. SARMs however, are selective and only affect muscles and bone cells. Other formulations of SARMs affect other areas of the body, such as the promotion of growth hormones, but that's the point. SARMs have specific targets and only affect the areas that actually matter, leaving the rest untouched.   Benefits of SARMs Over Steroids Steroids cause cells to act in certain ways. For muscles, it promotes protein intake and cell division while greatly boosting recovery and adaptation. This is the primary reason why muscles grow larger, faster. The more you work out, the more you "tear" your muscles and with steroids, these muscles not only recover faster but become better in the process. It also causes bone cells to pack in more calcium, increasing bone density. Stronger bones and muscles make for better performance and aesthetics.   But what about SARMs? They work more or less the same as steroids. Certain formulations are better for maintaining muscle mass, others are for fast gains, and some are optimized to help shed fat. Still, the true benefit is that SARMs don't have the same side effects nor as many as steroids.   Side Effects of SARMs Even though SARMs are often marketed to have virtually no side effects, people have reported a handful of issues. For the most part, the side effects from SARMs usually spring up because of the following:

  • Improper Dosage
The effects of SARMs are sometimes not as potent or noticeable as that of steroids, particularly in the first couple weeks taking them. This depends on various factors, but either way, the common reaction is to raise the dose. Nevertheless, anything taken above moderation is bound to cause problems.
  • User has pre-existing conditions
Some SARMs are reported to suppress natural testosterone release as a side effect. If your testosterone levels are below normal, you might get complications when using SARMs. However, there are formulations that don’t touch the body's’ hormonal balance. Some people also have an increased risk of prostate, pancreatic and liver issues, which are usually genetic but SARMs can complicate matters a bit.
  • Users taking other drugs
There is an exception to this. Some experts and seasoned users recommend “stacking” SARMs to cover all their bases. The items that can produce nasty side effects are smoking, drinking and street drugs. Cut these bad vices and go for products that will actually improve you and your strength. Still, the actual side effects depend on the formulation. Certain SARMs can cause tingling sensations on the fingers while others have a diuretic effect (making you urinate more frequently). These are all minor issues that will go away once you stop taking the SARMs.                                                                                                                            Two Tips For Using SARMs
  • How to Administer
All SARMs are meant to be taken orally. There are new formulations that are made to be injected, but you should nevertheless always follow the instructions. If the documentation says swallow it whole, do so, don't chew or dissolve in your mouth like candy. If it says to take the SARMs after a meal, don't take them on an empty stomach or just before you eat. In some cases, SARMs are in liquid form so feel free to either down it like a shot of whiskey or mix it with a beverage like a protein shake or juice.
  • Take it in cycles
This is how steroids are taken as well. Taking it in cycles mean you take it for a set duration of time, then stop, then take it again if you want. An example is you take 5mg of a certain SARM formulation daily for 4 weeks while bulking up. After that, you stop and continue your workout.   [/et_pb_text][et_pb_button admin_label="Buy SARMs Now" _builder_version="3.0.51" button_text="Buy SARMs Now" button_url="https://olympiclabz.com/shop/" url_new_window="on" button_alignment="left" background_layout="light" custom_button="on" button_text_color="#e02b20" button_letter_spacing="0" button_icon_placement="right" button_on_hover="off" button_text_color_hover="#68d800" button_letter_spacing_hover="0" saved_tabs="all" /][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][/et_pb_section]

How Testosterone Will Help You Stay Lean As You Age

Using SARMs and Testosterone Boosters to Prevent Sarcopenia At some point in life, we all reach our prime. For most people, it's probably around our late 20's until our early 40's. Afterwards, sarcopenia starts up which is limitations on the body taking place and cellular regeneration slows down. Likewise, our metabolism slows down as do our recovery times as we age. These changes also affect our idle calorie burn, which can lead to higher fat accumulation if you don’t exercise. As sad as that may be, it’s just how nature works on us. But what if you can change that? Sure, you can’t completely stop it, but you can dramatically slow the march of aging. Today’s technology and research allows the use of drugs that can chemically alter your body in a variety of ways. Altering the natural order has its consequences, but there is always a proper way to do anything. With that said, how can you keep in shape using these drugs? What are they?

Testosterone Boosters and Anabolic Steroids

Though classified as an androgen, meaning a chemical that generates “andro” or “masculine” effects, testosterone is present in both men and women. When it comes to using anabolic steroids, the drug floods the body with testosterone. This hormone affects the body not just in its development, (for example, during puberty) but also affects muscular retention and offers many more benefits.
  • You accumulate less fat and develop more muscle
Testosterone is known to increase muscle mass. More muscles mean more calories burned while idle and even more when active. This hormone also decreases fat accumulation, giving a one-two punch against gaining weight via fat.
  • You increase and retain bone density
Testosterone is responsible for a majority of bone development, such as the widening of shoulders and maintaining bone mass. Heightened testosterone in your system allows further bone development and increases overall bone density.
  • Better logical thinking and libido
While not related to staying in shape, it’s worth mentioning that testosterone affects more than just muscles and bones. It also affects memory retention and spatial abilities. All these factors start to decline after a certain age, so it’s not a bad thing to maintain.

Side-effects and Other Unwanted Effects of Testosterone and Anabolic Steroids

Unfortunately, altering your body’s hormones will cause negative effects as well. Taking testosterone haphazardly or taking more than what’s recommended will produce faster effects but will also cause worse side-effects. Some people suffer fewer side effects while others go through much more. Similarly, some people suffer symptoms that are unique to their bodies. Some of the common side effects are the following. While there are more side effects, these are what affect people the most:
  • Increased risk of liver, heart, kidney, and prostate diseases
  • Partial to total shutdown of your testosterone production
  • Lower sperm count, leading to impotence
  • Increased risk of tendon injuries and arthritis
  • Shrinkage of the testicles
  • Earlier onset of male-pattern baldness

The Best Approach When Using Anabolic Steroids and Testosterone

The devil is in the dosage. You take the drug a certain amount, for a certain duration with either increasing or decreasing dose amounts over the following weeks. In that time frame, you can train and exercise to significantly boost results. Once a decision has been made to stop taking anabolic steroids or testosterone, it’s recommended to take a post cycle therapy (PCT), which restores regular hormone function. A standard example is taking 500mg of Anabolic Steroids per week for 2 months then increase the dose to 600mg per week for the next 2 months. After stopping, you take your PCT for a certain amount of time to set your body’s hormone balance to normal.   There is a new contender in the market of performance enhancing drugs. One that promises nearly the same results, but with dramatically fewer side effects. Enter SARMs.

Selective Androgen Receptor Modulators (SARM)

As stated, SARMs offer nearly identical with far fewer side-effects. In comparison, steroids work by stimulating all cells to increase protein intake and everything else it commands to do. This is what leads to side-effects like baldness, acne and liver toxicity. SARMs are selective. They only attach to muscles and bones and contain compounds that suppress testosterone activity in other cells. This method ensures that only your bones and muscles get the benefit, leaving the rest of your body untouched. Once again, the devil is in the dosage. There are recommended cycles out there for SARMs and it's best to follow them or take on a minimal amount with smaller dosages and longer periods of time. This effectively reduces the side-effects to those that will naturally recover on their own. Combine this with a healthy diet and exercise and you’re sure to not just maintain your weight, but meet goals you never thought possible.

Different SARMs Offer Different Results

In the realm of performance enhancing drugs, the word “steroids” comes into mind. Steroids, commonly referred to as anabolic steroids, promote muscle growth and bone density. This makes them favorable for bodybuilders, people who want to excel at their hobby sport, or those who simply want an aesthetically better body quicker than naturally possible. Still, steroids are about as famous as they’re infamous due to the many side effects they causes. Some are temporary and can be reversed by treatment while others are permanent. Some of the more feared effects are total testosterone production shut-down, liver damage, and kidney failure. There's also more unattractive effects such as shrinkage of the testicles, baldness, acne, and roid-rage. Then came SARMs, which have the potential to change the entire performance enhancing drugs industry.

Selective Androgen Receptor Modulators (SARMs)

As the name suggests, SARMs are a compound that only affects select androgen receptors. Most cells in our body have these receptors and they respond to testosterone. Testosterone is the hormone responsible for developing features we consider to be more masculine, with Estrogen being the equivalent for more feminine features. When the body releases testosterone, cells pick it up and react in a certain way. Muscles gather more protein to grow bigger and faster, bones collect more calcium and minerals to make itself stronger and so on. This is how the body controls itself using hormones. By understanding how it works, SARMs and Steroids "mimic" testosterone and make our bodies respond in certain ways. Essentially, we're hacking our hormones to make ourselves stronger and faster.

Why Choose SARMs over Steroids?

It can be argued that Steroids are still better because there’s plenty of real-world data around them. We know the effects and we know the side-effects, so we know how to counteract these problems that show up. We also know the long-term effects, both positive and negative. What about SARMs? Though they have only become popular recently, SARMs have actually existed since the 1990s. The problem is that there’s not a lot of human-based studies about them. Most of the established studies of SARMs were performed on lab rats. However, if compared to the steroids research on lab rats, the results of SARMs stand out. As many lifters have learned from firsthand experience, SARMs are also much safer than steroids. Presently, SARMs are categorized as an “experimental substance.” Don’t let that fool you. That term is only a way to avoid potential legal pitfalls. SARMs are an established product and there are many users who have shared positive results. One of the main benefits of using SARMs is fewer side effects. They don't raise blood pressure nor affect hormones very much. There's also little need for additional supplements to support your cycles just to keep your health balanced. This, in turn, makes SARMs safer and less expensive in the long run.

Different Types of SARMs

Due to their experimental phase in the past, they are named by codes such as LGD 4033, unlike some drugs that have "generic names" like ibuprofen or amoxicillin. Either way, some SARMs have a generic name as well as their accompanying code-like designator. Before you start any programs with SARMs or anabolic steroids, always consult a professional. The effects of these products are different from person to person. Here are some of the more popular types of SARMs.
  • S-4 / GTx-007 - Andarine

Made to be taken orally, Andarine was originally developed by GTx Incorporated. This formulation has a near equal effect to Testosterone Propionates, (Synthetic Male Hormone injected directly into the muscle) without the typical side effects like risks of prostate diseases. S-4’s effect on muscle gain is relatively weak compared to other SARMs, but users have reported significant muscle mass retention and fat loss while using the product. This makes Andarine effective during the cutting or weight-loss phase of the bodybuilding cycle.   Nevertheless, Andarine isn’t without its own side effects. Some users report night-blindness and an unnatural but just barely noticeable yellowish vision. Others report decreased testosterone levels in the body. The good news is that the side effects slowly but surely reverse after around a month of use.
  • LGD 4033 - Ligandrol

A fairly new formulation, this product has recently passed clinical trials that prove it's safe under moderate dosage. Ligandrol is to be taken orally and is classified as a "nonsteroidal" SARM. The formulation shines in three areas: Muscle growth, regaining strength, and an increase in bone density. This product is more favored during the bulking phase, where the bodybuilder’s goal is to gain as much muscle and body mass as possible. The side-effects are that Ligandrol suppresses testosterone activity, almost down to a halt. Some recommend taking a PCT (Post Cycle Treatment) to resume the hormonal balance. The shutdown of testosterone has the potential to lead to depression and quick loss of muscle mass.
  • MK 677 - Ibutamoren

Another orally administered formulation. This particular formulation focuses more on raising appetite and encourages the release of growth hormones without affecting cortisol levels. Ibutamoren is more favored in the bulking phase due to the significant increase in growth and recovery rates. Ibutamoren is a non-hormonal SARM, which means it doesn’t affect your hormonal cycle. That being said, it does not require PCT since your testosterone doesn’t change. Do not take Ibutamoren if you have an increased risk of diabetes since an Ibutamoren side effect is an increase in blood sugar levels. The elevated growth hormone levels also cause minor joint pain as well as numbing and tingling in the fingers. Thankfully, these effects are only temporary.
  • GW501516 - Cardarine

GW501516 is chemically not a SARM but is grouped with the bunch due to its similar effects. Cardarine is a PPAR Delta Modulator, with its main benefits being metabolism control and using blood glucose to create more muscle. This translates to an increase in stamina, which is suitable for cutting phases or weight loss programs. It’s not as potent as other SARMs but shines when it comes to building lean muscle. There are no documented side effects from using the drug either in the long or short term. There was a study suggesting that Cardarine could potentially be a carcinogen, but that was never proven to be conclusive. The only real known negative effects are if the drug gets taken at overdose levels.

Do SARMs Increase Testosterone?

[et_pb_section bb_built="1" admin_label="section"][et_pb_row admin_label="row"][et_pb_column type="4_4"][et_pb_text admin_label="Text"]

Selective Androgen Receptor Modulators: Do they Increase Testosterone?

Ever since the creation of anabolic steroids, people have used them to gain an edge in athletic events. The effects are so profound that they were eventually banned from official competitions. In some case, abuse of the drug went rampant and made authorities label it as a "Schedule 3" drug, which means it's illegal to either use and possess it. Even though steroids were banned in competition and made illegal, they still have a place in medicine. Steroidal treatments are administered to patients through a variety of conditions.
  • Steroids help patients with wasting syndrome: This is basically a condition where the body "gives up" due to the stress caused by another condition like cancer or an autoimmune disorder. Steroids help the patient maintain weight and muscle mass, just enough to get through the disease
  • They are used to treat certain types of breast cancer in some women (and men for that matter)
  • Corticosteroids are a kind of steroid commonly used to treat irritation. Steroids are also used as analgesics, anti inflammatories, and antihistamines
  • Steroids are sometimes used to stimulate testosterone activity, commonly done in hormone treatments. This applies to both illnesses and gender reassignments
Nonetheless, Anabolic steroids have an array of side-effects. Though they increase muscle mass, energy, weight, libido, and strength, taking steroids comes with many issues. One of the more prominent side-effects is the total shutdown of the body's testosterone output. Enter SARMs, also known as "Selective Androgen Receptor Modulators." A relatively new kind of performance enhancing drug that can easily out rival anabolic steroids. They promise similar effects, but with dramatically fewer side-effects. SARMs are basically compounds that stick to certain receptors (your muscle and bone cell receptors) and make them do certain tasks. These tasks involve imitating what testosterone normally does to the cell, like increasing protein intake and cellular division. SARMs also have compounds that reduce the unwanted effects of anabolic steroids, making them a perfect transition drug. But the question remains: Do they increase testosterone? The answer is not simple. Some formulations do, others don’t provide any noticeable change, and some decrease the amount outright. There’s already research on how a formulation of SARMs can be used as an oral male contraceptive.

Examples of SARMs That Affect Testosterone

One example of SARMs that actually reduce testosterone is LGD-4033, more commonly known as Ligandrol. The formulation suppresses testosterone because it essentially replaces them. The body then stops creating testosterone because it ‘believes’ that it’s already supplying the body with enough. These kinds of SARMs are often taken with a complimentary testosterone supplement. The good news is that according to research, the suppression effects quickly stop after quitting the drug. There’s no research nor case where the SARMs were shown to permanently alter hormonal activity. There are other formulations that don’t alter testosterone levels. One such is GW501516, also known as Cardarine. It has profound effects of increasing and preserving muscle mass and mitochondrial growth, leading to better performance. On the hormonal side, people who have used Cardarine reported no decrease in testosterone levels (via blood test.) This may mean there’s no suppression involved, but the long-term effects are still unsure. Another example of SARM is MK-2966 also known as Ostarine. This brand is more popular due to the studies already made on it. It has powerful results with surprisingly little side effects. Users reported lower testosterone levels while using the product. Like Ligandrol, the levels bounced back after stopping the product. The following video also has some interesting points regarding testosterone, aging, and gains:

SARMs, Steroids and Testosterone

Unlike anabolic steroids, SARMs do not directly increase testosterone levels. A majority of them are formulated to suppress or bypass testosterone activities and supplement their own. This has its own share of good effects on the body, provided you take the right dosage. As always, if you are in doubt, consult a professional.   [/et_pb_text][et_pb_button admin_label="Buy SARMs Now" _builder_version="3.0.51" button_text="Buy SARMs Now" button_url="https://olympiclabz.com/shop/" url_new_window="on" button_alignment="left" background_layout="light" custom_button="on" button_text_color="#e02b20" button_letter_spacing="0" button_icon_placement="right" button_on_hover="off" button_text_color_hover="#68d800" button_letter_spacing_hover="0" saved_tabs="all" /][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][/et_pb_section]

SARMs vs. Steroids: What You Need To Know 💪

[et_pb_section bb_built="1" admin_label="section"][et_pb_row admin_label="row"][et_pb_column type="4_4"][et_pb_text admin_label="Text"] When people develop muscle, either for competitive or for personal reasons, they want fast results. The problem is that our bodies have a natural way of adapting, which translates to a fixed rate of muscle growth. You can do CrossFit and all manner of difficult training regimes, but ultimately, you can only gain so much during a certain amount of time. This is where SARMs and Steroids come into play. Both of them enhance muscle growth and retention, allowing people to gain significantly more muscle over a relatively short about of time. These performance enhancing drugs have such a profound effect that their use is banned in practically any professional or official sports or fitness competitions. In some places and under certain conditions, these drugs can be illegal and classified as Schedule 3 drugs. Drugs in this category mean they’re illegal to either possess or use them.

Benefits of Steroids

Steroids are a group of substances with the primary goal of making cells build more protein than is naturally possible. Testosterone does the same job and our body meticulously releases this hormone, but only in controlled quantities. Anabolic steroids mimic testosterone's commands and make cells perform as if they were flooded with testosterone.
  • Increased Muscle Size and Strength
Anabolic Steroids such as testosterone enanthate increase both muscle mass and recovery times. This means when you work out, the tiny little tears in your muscles heal faster. Not only do they heal faster, but they gather more proteins to be better than ever.
  • Increased Body Size
Steroids also improve bone mass and, to some extent, increase overall body fat. This, in turn, increases body weight and size. Your body adapts your increasing muscle size with a better frame, which is why bodybuilders adore this drug.
  • It’s Used in Medicine
Steroids vary among treatments. It’s used as a treatment for specific cancers and corticosteroids are used to alleviate inflammation and suppress allergies. Prednisone is also a kind of steroid that's used to treat autoimmune diseases like arthritis and lupus.

Risks and Side Effects of Using Steroids

The problem with using steroids is its plethora of side-effects. These side effects even happen if you're consuming the steroids at the right dosage. The longer you use it, the stronger the effect. The more you use, the faster you get these effects.
  • Increased risk of prostate cancer
  • Increased risk of diabetes
  • Diminished or total shutdown of your testosterone production
  • Cholesterol imbalances, leading to coronary heart disease
  • High blood pressure
  • Risk of liver diseases
  • Early baldness
  • Acne
  • Behaviour alterations a.k.a. “Roid rage”
These are only the common side effects people get when they use steroids for a long time. Some people may develop these and other symptoms despite not using them for very long. While steroids are effective, they carry more than their fair share of risks.

Benefits of SARMs

SARMs stands for ”Selective Androgen Receptor Modulators.” As the name implies, they are androgens that only affect specific receptors. Steroids are androgens that pretty much attach to anything that can accept them whether they be muscles, bones, liver, arteries, skin, and so on. SARMs, on the other hand, only attach to bone and muscle groups, leaving everything else untouched. The benefits are as follows:
  • Provides the same positive effect as steroids
Some argue that the effect is somewhat less than that of steroids, given the same dosage, but not by much.
  • They have dramatically fewer side effects
They still have side effects, especially when abused. Unlike steroids, the effects are far less impactful and reversible. They don't cause testosterone shut down and don't increase your risks for heart, liver, prostate and pancreatic diseases.
  • All SARMs are Orally Taken
Some steroidal drugs are administered intravenously. This runs the risk of infection by using needles, among other effects. SARMs come in tablet or powder form, making them relatively harmless.
  • t’s Legal
SARMs are on sale in the market as an over-the-counter drug. It’s still up for debate whether it’s legal to use in official sports competitions, but some leagues are already banning these product because of their effectiveness. Regardless, if you’re going to compete, it’s best to train and gain the natural way.

Verdict

Many will still argue that steroids will get you faster results and that may be true. Usage of SARMs however, is much safer. What's an extra month or two if it means you'll be adding years to a healthier life?   [/et_pb_text][et_pb_button admin_label="Buy SARMs Now" _builder_version="3.0.51" button_text="Buy SARMs Now" button_url="https://olympiclabz.com/shop/" url_new_window="on" button_alignment="left" background_layout="light" custom_button="on" button_text_color="#e02b20" button_letter_spacing="0" button_icon_placement="right" button_on_hover="off" button_text_color_hover="#68d800" button_letter_spacing_hover="0" saved_tabs="all" /][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][/et_pb_section]

SARMs vs. Steroids: What You Need To Know 💪 was first seen on olympiclabz.com/

What are SARMs? (Selective Androgen Receptor Modulators)

Anabolic steroids have the potent effect of increasing proteins within cells, especially in skeletal muscles. Steroids are most well known as an item that increases body weight, muscle mass, and can deepen your voice and cause the body to grow more hair.

Since then it’s been used by bodybuilders to quickly and effectively increase their bulk. It’s also used in medicine to stimulate growth, repair bone marrow, help appetites and increase testosterone levels for those with abnormally low levels in any of those aspects of health.

However, steroids have some serious sides effects. These effects happen when steroids are used over a long period of time. That’s even when using the right dosage. Still, the higher the dosing, the stronger the side effects.

Some of the side effects of anabolic steroids are as follows:

  • High blood pressure
  • Insomnia
  • Decreased resistance against infection
  • Stomach bleeding and irritation
  • Ocular conditions like blurry vision, cataracts, and glaucoma
  • Behavioral alterations and mood swings such as “roid rage”
  • Behavioral changes attributed to addiction and dependence

National Geographic created a great visual aid to help us ‘see’ what’s going on with the good and the bad when using steroids:

Due to the abuse of anabolic steroids both past and present, a new way to achieve the same effects with dramatically fewer side effects was discovered. Enter SARMS.

Selective Androgen Receptor Modulators

Said to be the “Holy Grail” of bodybuilding supplements, SARMs are compounds that are chemically similar to anabolic steroids. The point is that the body recognizes SARMs as similar to anabolic steroids and, therefore, causes the body to react similarly.

How Does it Work?

For lack of a better term, they are messengers. When these chemicals enter the body and attach to our cells, the cells receive a “command” and act accordingly. Anabolic steroids rely on similar methods, except the effect is so intense that cells are flooded, causing hormonal imbalances. This kind of imbalance can cause permanent damage to the user’s body.

Think of steroids as a country sending their soldiers and tanks into a city (your body), and make all its people (your cells) do what these soldiers want at gunpoint. It gets the job done, make no mistake, but doing this long term is going to do some serious damage.

SARMS are friendly door-to-door solicitors that go to specific houses and ask the people to do something as mandated on some official-looking order.

Foregoing the metaphors, SARMs attach only to muscle and bone cells whereas anabolic steroids attach to anything and everything that will accept them. This means there are far fewer side effects from SARMs over a long period of time.

Anabolic steroids also leave a lot of potentially toxic compounds after being processed. While SARMs also produce potentially unwanted molecules and compounds, it’s not enough to cause severe issues over time.

Nevertheless, SARMs offer the same benefits as anabolic steroids, but only in your muscles and bones. Of course, it has its side effects, especially when abused. If used in moderation, there will be fewer side effects and those that do arise are reversible.

Benefits of Using Selective Androgen Receptor Modulators

Presently, SARMs have no official medicinal use. Not because it doesn’t have any effects that can be used medically, but because there hasn’t been any significant research yet. Still, bodybuilders have been shown to gain the following benefits.

  • Prevents Muscle Loss. Particularly useful during the cutting phases of your program
  • Faster Injury Recovery. Faster muscle growth during bulking
  • Improved Strength.
  • Faster Joint Healing. Sprains are painful and take time to heal. SARMs help

In comparison to using Anabolic Steroids, here are some additional benefits:

  • Virtually No Liver Damage. Over a long period of time – SARMs don’t attach to liver cells, leaving them relatively untouched.
  • Virtually No Bone Loss.
  • Less Threat of Prostate Issues
  • Doesn’t Interfere with Hormonal Balances (Such as your HPTA)
  • Has Similar Effect To Testosterone
  • Doesn’t Contain Estrogen

Are SARMs Safe?

Yes, as long as it is taken in moderation. We repeat this because it’s not difficult to increase the dosage to get faster results. SARMs, pound for pound, have fewer effects than Anabolic Steroids but is still more potent than any other natural boosters like creatinine. Where these truly shine is that they make a great in-between for people who don’t want to take supplements but want to enhance their performance and gains.

Are SARMs Legal?

Yes. They’re available in the market right now in oral form. if you have doubts about using SARMs, consult a physician first so they can advise you on the do’s and dont’s.

SARMs, however, are not permitted in most sports. They’re still performance enhancing drugs, but it’s still up for debate if, when, and how they will be banned. For proper competitions, fairness and hard work are always better than looking for a chemical edge.

Examples of SARMs

There are a variety of brands out there, but the formulation in them are relatively the same when classified by their codes. Some of the more popular types include:

Commonly known as Ibutamoren or ostarine, this SARMs’ formulation stimulates appetite, the release of energy, and growth hormones. It increases muscle mass and bone density, with effects very noticeable after 3-6 weeks of continuous minimal dosage.

It has a known side effect of deepening your sleep and causing slight tingling of your hands. This is due to the increased growth hormone in the body. This formulation is best taken in a three-month cycle, increasing the dosage every month and stop by the third.

One of the most potent SARMs per dose. It has nearly 12 times the potency at a third of the dose of most common SARMs. Its effects are more appreciated during the cutting cycles, to completely avoid muscle loss.

Its potency comes at a price: it has an effect on the HPTA, or the Hypothalamus-Pituitary-Testes-Axis, so use it minimally or use a SERM (selective estrogen receptor modulator) after the cycle.

A new contender in the market. This SARM promises an anabolic to androgenic ratio of 90:1. This means for every 90 “units” of muscle building power, you only get 1 “unit” of side effect. Compare that to anabolic steroids, which often have a 1:1 ratio, this one takes the cake… As long as *you’re* avoiding cake, that is.

Remember to follow recommended dosages exactly. Especially since these new products doesn’t have much real-world data, use them with care and moderation.
